Microblading, a semi permanent procedure, is the art of embedding pigment beneath the skin with a specialized and sterile tool to create the illusion of strategically placed hair strokes for fuller and enhanced brows. A series of strategically placed superficial cuts filled with pigment collectively work to create darker, fuller brows.

Permanent makeup is a great alternative to those that have suffered from hair loss, cancer, alopecia, over tweezing, and thinning eyebrows. It holds the promise you’ll work all night, and wake up in the morning with makeup in place.

Microblading uses a super-precise tool along with the Golden Ratio Measurements to establish the perfect outline. This tool is effectively like a pen, but the nib is a sloped blade with little needles at the end that don’t penetrate the skin, only delicately scratching the surface. The needle very softly lays featherweight strokes with medical-grade pigment on the skin, creating fine, realistic, natural-looking hair strokes.

3D Brows are 100% machine preformed. This is the most advanced cosmetic tattooing technique using a digital cosmetic tattoo machine and nano needles to achieve the most natural, soft, and delicate results without damaging the skin. Originating in Russia, hyper-realism brows (or undone brows as they're also known) is a newer permanent makeup technique uses a cosmetic tattooing device and a needle to implant the pigment and join each hair stroke in a 'W' pattern to give the illusion of overlapping hairs which don't blur. By building up the intensity in the middle of the brow, it creates a 3D effect for more realistic, fuller looking eyebrows.

Discomfort is minimal and a numbing cream is used to insure a painless procedure. Most would compare the degree of discomfort to the feeling felt when threading their brows.

Avoid Before Your Appointment

• Alcohol for 24 hours

• Suntanning, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, laser treatments, chemical peels for 7–10 days

• Blood‑thinning medications/supplements (Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Niacin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, Ibuprofen) — consult your physician

• Coffee and energy drinks on the day of

• Waxing or hair removal within 2–3 days

• Retin‑A/Retinol for 7 days before and 30 days after

• Botox within 2–3 weeks

If you have been diagnosed with cancer or any extreme illnesses in the past, BrowArte respectfully requires for you to have been in remission for a minimum of 1 year, and have a signed note by a licensed physician in order to receive Microblading/3D. Client safety is the first priority.

There are several stages which include: numbing, outlining the desired shape, the actual process of Microblading/3D, and the fine-tuning of the finished process. This usually takes roughly 2 to 2 1/2hours but can take up to 4.

If you have had your eyebrows previously micro-bladed or tattooed by another artist, a clear photo must be sent in and approved before booking an appointment. BrowArte must ensure of a workable canvas and in some cases the previous work may be too dark to achieve optimal results. Failure to provide a photo prior to booking may result in a forfeit of your deposit.

Right after your appointment, your brows will appear darker, bolder, and more defined than expected. This is normal. The area may feel similar to a mild sunburn, with minimal redness or discomfort. This stage typically lasts up to a week.

Day 1: Finely detailed with slight redness. Brows look crisp and fresh.

Days 2–4: Brows appear darker and more filled‑in as a light scab forms. This is temporary—don’t panic.

Days 5–12: Scabs naturally flake and peel. The new skin underneath looks pale or “waxy,” making brows appear too light. This is normal.

Days 10–30: You may gently use brow makeup after Day 10 if needed. The color will slowly return and bloom as the new skin settles. Your true healed color appears around 4 weeks, which is when your touch‑up can be scheduled.

YES. But not before, and only AFTER, 6-8 weeks Post-Microblading/3D, can your Touch-up appointment be scheduled. Microblading requires a second touch-up appointment; all clients’ skin is different and receives the ink differently. It’s impossible to accurately predict how a pigment will be affected by a client’s undertones.

During the Touch-up Appointment, I will fill in any missing hair strokes, fill out the shape of the eyebrow as necessary, touch up any light spots, and assess how the skin has reacted to the Microblading/3D process and the chosen color. I make a note of the client’s pigment blend. I can enhance the color of the brows by simply layering in a different shade if needed, to adjust the tone. There are always options.

For most clients, the results of quality Microblading/3D will last anywhere from 12-24 months. The pigment naturally exfoliates from the skin over time, causing it to lighten.

The main difference is the material used:

• Microblading uses pigment

• Tattooing uses ink

Tattoo ink has blue‑green undertones, which is why tattooed brows often fade to blue or green over time. Microblading pigment fades to a lighter, softer version of the original color, maintaining a more natural look.

Pigment selection is one of the most crucial steps. At BrowArte, your pigment is chosen based on:

• Skin tone

• Natural brow color

• Dyed hair color (if applicable)

Using premium pigments ensures better color retention during healing and maintains a natural appearance for the full 1–2 years your microblading lasts.

Cleansing & Water Exposure

You may shower or bathe normally, but avoid getting harsh soaps, shampoos, cleansers, or direct water pressure on the brows for the first 10 days. Excess moisture can interfere with the bonding process needed for the pigment to stabilize in the skin.

Avoid:

• Soap, shampoo, or cleanser exposure for 10 days

• Bath submersion or heavy shower water exposure for 10 days

• Swimming or bodies of water (pools, oceans, lakes, hot tubs) for 2 weeks
  

Skin Shedding & Flaking

Do not pick or scratch at any dry skin or flakiness. Let the skin shed naturally. Picking can cause scarring and premature pigment loss.

Once the flakes fall off, a shiny layer of new skin will cover the strokes. It may look like the brows have disappeared — this is normal. The pigment will slowly reappear over the next 1–2 weeks as the skin regenerates.

Avoid:

• Picking or scratching at any stage

• Threading or waxing the brow area for 2–4 weeks

Makeup & Cosmetic Products

Do not apply makeup to the tattooed area for the first 10 days. Cosmetics can interfere with healing and alter pigment. After Day 10, you may gently apply brow makeup if needed.

Avoid:

• Cosmetic products on the brow area for 2 weeks

• Bleach or brow dye for 6–8 weeks

• Anti‑aging products (Retinols) and anti‑acne products (Glycolic Acids) near the brows

• Laser treatments on or near the brow area

Lifestyle Considerations

Avoid:

• Exercise and sweating for the first 7 days

• Any activity that causes heat, steam, or excessive moisture around the brows
